1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Chapa, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
Chapa provides policy-labelled developer evidence scores and badges from authorized linked-platform activity (GitHub, including one linked secondary GitHub account, Bitbucket, Codeberg and GitLab) and optional owner-authorized PostHog aggregates. v7.4 and v7.5 bound activity at 60 points and qualifying evidence from one product at 40, then displays the floor of their sum. Limited, Established, Adoption, Substantial and Exceptional are criterion-based evidence bands, not worldwide ability rankings or claims of unique people, revenue or causal impact. Craft is separate and does not change the core score. Historical policies retain their own arithmetic. The service is provided as is without warranties of any kind.
3. Platform Data Usage
Chapa reads authorized profile and activity records through linked-platform APIs. Source coverage depends on existing access; connecting optional outcome evidence does not expand GitHub scopes. The optional PostHog connection requests project:read and insight:read for one selected project and saved supported monthly insight. It reads six completed UTC monthly active analytics identifier aggregates, not raw event or person exports; identifiers are not verified people. Saved provider settings are not changed. Private grants and selection/source details are excluded from public receipts. Published replay-safe aggregates remain immutable until scoring withdrawal or account deletion. Disconnect removes local credentials and records a new configuration generation before a bounded provider revocation attempt; local disconnection and provider revocation are separate outcomes. Historical aggregates are not erased by disconnect, and independently downloaded copies cannot be recalled. Signature authentication, arithmetic replay and recorded source evidence are separate; verification does not independently audit source truth.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to misuse the service, including but not limited to: attempting to manipulate scores, abusing API rate limits, or using the service for any unlawful purpose.
5. Limitation of Liability
Chapa and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the service.
6. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
